Volunteer
Without volunteers from our community, we would not be able to do what we do. We have a team of about 15 people and the needs are growing. Our biggest needs are usually related to fostering and cat care, trapping, and other volunteer activities directly involving cats and kittens. We do, however, have many administrative duties such as accounting, social media and other marketing, data entry, and helping with our website.
We do not have a building so our work is done in the field or remotely from our homes where appropriate.
Here are just some of the areas where we have and need more volunteers:
- Fostering cats and/kittens
- Bottle feeders
- Adoption coordinators
- Skilled colony site assessments
- Trapping
- Feral cat surgical recovery care
- Supply ordering
- Data collection
- Helping with correspondence including phone, email, and social media
- Fundraising/Grant writing
- Shelter building
- Microchip registry
- Cat photography
- Social media marketing
- Public relations, including local media
- Cat care classes
- Accounting/bookkeeping (Quickbooks)
- Filing appropriate paperwork with federal and state
- General office duties.
